Friendly Crossways has been a family run business for 2+ generations (the plus refers to the original owners, a Quaker couple who were like an uncle and aunt to my parents). Well, 2++ if you count that our kids have grown up in the service and don’t think it’s odd to have travelers sleeping in their home regularly. Family run means my husband and I didn’t get to take vacations together while the kids were growing up: somebody had to stay behind to watch the inn! And now the children are independent wonderful people, and Keith and I got to travel! Together! For an extended period (three weeks!)! And when we returned from Israel, Jordan and Paris it was spring at Friendly Crossways and we just celebrated the first wedding of the season. No need to bring in a whole bunch of floral decorations when nature (and landscaping) provide plenty of those. We’re so blessed!
